WATERMAN PHILEAS Fountain Pen  

In rarer less common old style GREEN MARBLE with gold plated trim.

Waterman named the Phileas after the character Phileas Fogg in Around the World in Eighty Days by the French novelist Jules Verne. The design reflects the Art Deco look of the 1930s. The gold-plated ring around the barrel end resembles an engraved cigar band.

   

c1997 - Made in France - sprung pocket clip. Lovely practical chunky size measures 137mm (5 3/8") closed.

Two tone MEDIUM nib in perfect condition. Beautifully smooth writer.

Cartridge filler - two cartridges supplied. Can also take Waterman converter for bottle filling if you prefer. These are readily available online.

In Waterman blue hard case with instructions.

Pen is in excellent condition. Lightest of normal surface usage marks.

The Phileas is now discontinued by Waterman but as with the Laureat, they remain very popular with collectors - particularly those who like to use their pens.
