£75.00

Product Information

WATERMAN PHILEAS Fountain Pen

In solid CHARCOAL with gold plated trim.

Waterman named the Phileas after the character Phileas Fogg in Around the World in Eighty Days by the French novelist Jules Verne. The design reflects the Art Deco look of the 1930s. The gold-plated ring around the barrel end resembles an engraved cigar band.

c1999 - Made in France - sprung pocket clip. Lovely practical chunky size measures 137mm (5 3/8") closed.

Two tone MEDIUM nib in perfect condition. As with most Waterman -  smooth as silk and a fabulous pen to write with. Please see writing sample.

Cartridge filler - supplied with 2 cartridges. Can also take Waterman converter if you prefer bottle filling, readily available online.

Very good condition - normal surface usage marks. No cracks/splits. Gold plate all good.

The Phileas is now discontinued by Waterman but as with the Laureat, they remain very popular with collectors - particularly those who like to use their pens. They come in a spectacular range of colours - quite nice to see a plain one!
