Terms & Conditions


We try to ensure that descriptions are accurate but genuine mistakes and differences of opinion as to condition can occur. If you are not happy for some reason please let us know and we will always do our best to resolve matters as quickly as possible, either by refund or other agreed arrangement. If you wish to return an item this should normally be done within 7 days of receipt. The buyer is responsible for return postage and packing cost.

PAYPAL fees for returned items are no longer recoverable from Paypal. Therefore if the reason for a return is not the fault of Penworkshop (ordered in error, changed mind etc) any refund made will be net of Paypal fees.


UK BUYERS: Postage & Packing is free for items delivered in theUK. Vintage pens and pencils will be sent 1st class 'signed for.' Other items such as tools, materials or kits will be sent by the most economical method and 'Proof of Posting' obtained.

We are happy to accept payment by Paypal, cheque, postal order or direct to our bank account. With regard to the latter please email for details.

Payment can also be made by Credit or Debit card through the website.

OVERSEAS BUYERS: All items will be sent International Signed For and there is a flat charge for postage and packing of £10 per order. The actual cost is usually higher than this but we are keen to keep prices as low as possible for our customers. We are happy to ship to most countries.

The only payment method accepted for overseas buyers is by PAYPAL or Debit/Credit card via Paypal in GB Pounds.


We will ship as soon as possible after receipt of payment often same day. If for some reason we can't ship within 3 days we will email to advise you.

UNDELIVERED ITEMS: If you have paid for an insured postal service (Special Delivery or International Signed For with additional insurance) we will refund the cost of any item unfortunately lost in transit.

If you have chosen a non-insured postal service and we have a receipt for Signed For, International Signed For or a Proof of Posting receipt, then any item lost in transit and undelivered will be the responsibility of the buyer and we will not be liable to refund the cost. We will be happy to assist however by making appropriate enquiries and submitting a  claim on your behalf to the UK Post Office.
