PELIKAN 400 SET - Fountain Pen and Mech Pencil (+ Ballpoint, see below.)
GREEN STRIATED and SOLID BLACK - rolled gold trim. Made in Germany c1952.
Pelikan emblem to tops.
Both items stamped on cap bands - 'Pelikan Germany' No other imprints that I can see.
FOUNTAIN PEN - measures 125mm capped.
14ct Gold nib stamped 'Pelikan 14k 585 EF.' It may have started out as Extra Fine but now it is a very smooth, semi-flexible MEDIUM, which writes very nicely.
Piston filler - operates by turning the knob at the end of the barrel - perfect working order.
MECHANICAL PENCIL - button actuated repeater pencil in perfect working order.
Presented in double soft leather Cross pouch - both items in excellent condition. No cracks or scratches and perfect rolled gold trim.
BALLPOINT Pen - the matching ballpoint (pictured on its own above) is also included in the price but this is not in as good condition. Some rolled gold plate is worn/missing from pocket clip and the top of the button is a little untidy. I don't have a proper refill for it so don't know if it works although it seems complete and probably does. Anyway, it is included for FREE.
