NATIONAL SECURITY Fountain Pen    LEVER FILL

National Security was the brand name of pens produced for, and marketed by, British Carbon Papers of Farringdon, London.
Many English manufacturers produced pens for British Carbon Papers including Conway Stewart, Lang Pen Co of Liverpool and Valentine Pen Co.   Made in a variety of lovely colours and sizes, they are now very collectable.

In beautiful BROWN MARBLE against a black background  with gold plated trim.

Lever Filler - Made in England - 1930s -  good size pen which measures 135mm capped.

Single narrow cap band - brown peaked cap stud - correct diamond end pocket clip.

Crisp barrel imprint with the LION and PEN motif and 'National Security Highest Grade English Manufacture.'

14ct Gold nib stamped 'Warranted 14ct Ist Quality.' Warranted nibs were common on NS pens. 

Semi-flexible BROAD nib - writes very smoothly with a nice wet line.

Lever filler - fully serviced - new sac - write tested - perfect working order.

Pen is in very good condition. A little wear to the edges of the plated pocket clip but no other blemishes.

The lovely rich dark brown marble was much favoured by National Security.

Super looking pen and a really nice size.
