JOHN BULL No 2 Fountain Pen   Conway Stewart?

CHASED BLACK Hard Rubber with wavy line pattern - domed cap top - clipless cap.

Lever filler - measures 133mm closed.  Crisp barrel imprint 'John Bull Pen No 2.'  Blank cartouche (no personal engraving).

There is speculation as to who made John Bull pens but this example is so similar to some of the Conway Stewart 200 series pens that I think it is likely to be Conway Stewart. Therefore Made in England c1930.

14ct Gold nib stamped 'Warranted 14ct First Quality.' LEFT OBLIQUE MEDIUM - may have been ground at some stage - writes quite smoothly.

Lever filler - fully serviced and write tested - perfect working order.

Pen is in beautiful condition - no discoloration - no cracks or scratches.

Classic early 1930s English lever filler - very collectable, particularly in this condition.
