ESTERBROOK RELIEF No 2-L Fountain Pen

SOLD  10/2019

Esterbrook Relief models were made in the UK by Conway Stewart and are excellent quality fountain pens, renowned for their nibs.

This is the 2-L model with trademark red cap band dating from the 1930s - RED PEARL against black background with gold plated fittings - 'tear drop' pocket clip stamped 'Relief.'

Domed cap top - single cap band - 'R' logo to filling lever. Measures 133mm closed.

Barrel imprint  'RELIEF No 2-L.' Made in England around barrel end.

Correct 14ct Gold nib stamped -'Relief 14ct 2 Made in England Esterbrook.' Nib in excellent condition.

LEFT OBLIQUE ITALIC - very nice smooth BROAD and a delight to write with as most Reliefs are.

Lever filler - fully serviced - new sac - write tested - perfect working  order.

Very good condition - normal usage marks but they hardly show against this pattern - no cracks, splits or personal engravings.

Vintage Reliefs are very collectable by people who love to write with their pens.

The mottled examples are becoming a little difficult to find.
