Beautiful MARBLED RASPBERRY with black veins - uncommon colour.
Chrome plated trim - bandless cap - black cap stud.
Early model with flat cap stud and ball end pocket clip.
1930s - Made in England - measures 130mm (5 1/8") capped. Really nice chunky size.
Crisp barrel imprint 'The Universal Pen Conway Stewart London No 479.'
Correct 14ct Gold Conway Stewart nib - semi-flexible MEDIUM nib. Beautifully smooth writer - please see sample below.
Lever filler - fully serviced - disassembled and ultasonically cleaned - new sac - nib tuned and smoothed - hand polished - write tested - perfect working order.
In excellent condition - light normal usage marks only commensurate with age.
Very nice example of the early classic 1930s Conway 479.
This model was made in a wide range of colours but I think Raspberry Marble was certainly one of the best. Hope the pictures are good.
