Bandless cap - black cap stud - diamond clip.
1930s - Made in England - measures 130mm (5 1/8") capped.
Barrel imprint 'The Universal Pen Conway Stewart London No 479.'
Also has the imprint J H CLARKE & CO CHELMSFORD.
J H Clarke were printers and stationers in High St Cheltenham and were founded as long ago as the 1870s.
I believe they ceased trading in the 1950s.
14ct Gold Conway Stewart 1A nib - semi-flexible MEDIUM nib - writes smoothly. Writing sample underneath.
Lever filler - fully serviced and write tested - perfect working order.
In good used condition - light normal usage marks only commensurate with age. No cracks or splits.
Nice example of the classic 1930s Conway - lovely colours and with an unusual imprint.
