Product Information

CONWAY STEWART 330 'SCRIBE' Fountain Pen.    Early Model.

SOLD  12/2020

Chased BLACK Hard Rubber or Vulcanite - bandless and clipless - round shield to nickel plated lever. Barrel end is threaded for cap posting. Measures 135mm capped.

As is often the case with Hard Rubber some fading has taken place over the years from the original black. Haven't attempted to restore the colour - much prefer to leave as is with patina. It has had a hand polish and that's all.

This is an early model 330 dating to c1931/32 with the early imprint. 'Scribe No 330' on top line, 'Conway Stewart London' on second line and 'Made in England' around barrel end.

Correct 14ct Gold Conway Stewart 3B nib - MEDIUM nib with a few usage marks but semi-flex and writes very nicely. '3B' is stamped on the base of the nib, covered by the section. I would imagine that this is the original nib.

Lever filler - fully serviced - new sac - write tested - perfect working order.

Pen is in nice condition, reflecting nearly 90 years old and correct in all respects.

Worthy of a place in any Conway Stewart collection - but it's still nice to use!
